What begins as a slow-burning mystery quickly turns into a haunting journey that blurs the line between reality and paranoia. The pacing is perfect, the tension building slowly without ever giving the impression of retreating. The most important thing about Presence is its atmosphere. The cinematography and sound design create an eerie atmosphere that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Every creak, shadow, and eerie silence adds to the suspense and makes you feel like something scary could happen at any moment. The performances are solid, although the plot may not be groundbreaking in terms of horror, it’s the execution that sets Presence apart from the rest. The film manages to create a sense of dread without resorting to sudden jump scares, instead focusing on psychological suspense and the unknown.
