Michael Schur was inspired to write "A Man On the Inside" after watching the Chilean documentary "The Mole Agent"
Charles, a retired man, gets a new lease on life when he answers an ad for a private investigator and becomes an undercover investigator at a nursing home. He says, "The Mole Agent" Documentaries are powerful because they evoke something incredibly similar in people, regardless of age, ethnicity, or gender, and I would describe that feeling very succinctly: “I need to call my mom.” We tried to do something similar with our show in tone: basically, does our show contribute to that feeling of wanting to call moms?
I liked it!
It’s a remake of "El agente topo" (2020). What I was expecting was a clichéd comedy about someone who keeps a secret, the antics of a crazy person, and so on.
This great series was not full of cruel laughs and laughter
Instead, we get a series about a man who not only helped others, but also helped himself heal after losing his wife. gloomy lines, in some places I felt very emotional because of the way the themes were handled – like the resident with memory problems.
The casting was great, the cinematography and The locations are beautiful
But it was not serious enough to make you sad or bored during the episodes, so the series was worth watching. it was worth it because you wanted to see how it all worked out – who stole it, etc.
