Exactly what you’re looking for
The opening credits sequence shows various photographic and painted images, as well as Oklahoma landmarks, superimposed on the New York landscape: the “Touch the Clouds” statue of a Sioux Indian chief; wearing a War Bonnet and Bone Choker necklace (breastplate) attached to the Brooklyn Bridge’s Golden Driller statue, built on the Statue of Liberty. Tulsa King presents
Stallone hits the mark with a gritty, no-nonsense performance that mixes humor and violence to near perfection. The classic fish-out-of-water scenario is well-acted. And the first episode does a great job of establishing what looks like a stellar cast.
Frankly, I was pleasantly surprised
The plot starts to come together from the get-go. We’ll see how the season goes, but for now, it’s a nice change of pace compared to some of the other series debuts of late. There’s no CGI to be sure.
