Story
On the island of haves and have-nots, teenager John B enlists his three best friends to hunt for a legendary treasure linked to his father’s disappearance. Chase Stokes, Madeline Cline and their “OBX” co-stars quiz each other on the best lines from their hit Netflix series. Filmed in Charleston, SC; It was originally supposed to be filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina.
This show is ridiculously unrealistic, but honestly, I don’t care
It’s obviously not supposed to be the most serious show, so I totally agree that it went overboard. The main actors are very pleasing to the eye and play quite decently (of course, nothing outstanding). The actors are too old for their roles, until Sarah said she was only 16, I wasn’t sure how old they were.
But anyway, there is nothing new in this
Casting actors of the appropriate age is very difficult, so I can’t deduct points for it. I haven’t finished yet, but so far it’s fun, fast, nice. Edit: After the show ended I CAN’T WAIT for season 2.
Netflix, you’ve done it again!
It got MUCH better with each episode, and to be honest, by the end it felt like a really high-quality production, and it’s a really good setup for a potential second season. What struck me the most was how well the dialogues were written, they were really believable. If you can ignore the fact that they don’t look 16 at all, they definitely act like a bunch of stupid 16 year olds.
