American (English) Remake HPI (2021) Series in France
Story
It follows Morgan, a single mother of three, and thanks to her exceptional mind, she manages to help solve a crime by reconstructing evidence during her shift as a cleaner at the police department. Despite her very high IQ, excellent memory and extensive knowledge of the arcane, Morgan makes a series of fundamental errors in the law that no one has ever made before. I watched a legal program on TV that said no.
In the first episode, for example, she recovers a document from a locked safe in the suspect’s law office – victim – evidence that would never be admissible in court – evidence obtained illegally
Nor could it be used to obtain other evidence – the “fruit of the poisonous tree” Violation of the legal principle of In episode 2, she must be reminded to wear gloves before handling evidence at the crime scene, and in episode 3, she removes all documentary evidence from the police station, completely breaking the chain of custody and further destroying everything she removed. Court Admissible. HPI Reprint (2021).
Episode 3 really dragged it down and I hope episode 4 really picks up
Okay, the show started off really well and Kaitlin Olson gives a solid performance. The show is very similar to the TBS series Monk where a guy with Asperger’s helps the police solve crimes. Again, the show is solid so far but not as flashy or fun to watch as Monk, but it’s still fun to watch.
Tactics that invalidate a case
In this episode, she gets really hypocritical and messes up a case. She takes evidence from the police station, manipulates the evidence, and corrupts it. The consequences?
Again, I hope it picks up with episode 4
Zero… distracting from how annoying she is in this episode. She shows no evidence of self-awareness or remorse for her actions.
